Just checking in 6 days post op. The site looks good. No swelling or signs of infection. I washed the area for the first time this morning with baby shampoo and it cleaned up well. I've been down this road before and I know not to have any expectations due to significant scarring, but I was impressed with Dr. Epstein and his staff and their optimism for a good outcome was appreciated.

Dr. Epstein:

Yes, I went to his office in San Francisco, and one of the MDs on staff removed the stitches. Everyone there gave me the Royal treatment. I didn't meet Dr. Mass, but you can tell him that I was very impressed with his staff. So much so, that I trusted them to do a botox treatment on me and I'm very satisfied.

I'm trying to be patient about the hair growth process. I know it's supposed to take around two and a half months beforehair starts growing, but I keephoping that I'll be an exception and it will come in a lot faster. I can dream can't I. It seems like there's some growth in the crown area, but I assume it's due to the minoxidil.

I will be posting my comments on my very positive procedural experienceYour staff was outstanding. Professional but not stuffy. They made me feel very comfortable and even laughed at my jokes. Youwere everything a patient could ask for in a doctor: exceptionally competent, concerned, approachable, intelligent, and a great sense of humor. Who could ask for more in a physician. I will highly recommend you to all my friends and relatives and others as well. Hasta luego, Doctor. Keep up the good work.

PS. Please thank your staff for me and let them know I was very impressed with their technicaland interpersonal communication skills. All of them were great: from the reception people to those in the lab, to everyone in between. Cute too.

I am back in New York and am feeling great so far... I love the way my eyebrows look and I believe this will change my life in ways that you might never understand. I just want you to know how grateful I am, and that i think you are a wonderful doctor and a fantastic artist. I am happy to attest this to anyone who is considering a procedure. Thank you is an understatement. My eyebrows look better than I ever hoped for. I was unsure what to expect and was a little scared but everything about this experience exceeded all I had ever hoped for.

Have to say, I am extremely happy with the work you performed. I think the hairline came in very nicely, exceeded my expectations. I no longer think people can tell I had work, unlike before. The transplants were so poorly done, and obvious; trying to hide them was a major concern. No more. Of course, like everything else, you eventually want more. Still satisfied, of course, but I'd like to take it a step further.

I'm in Iraq right now. Will be back in the States early Sept. I'll schedule an appointment then.

I made it home safely. I drove straight through, eating in the car and only stopped twice for gasoline. It took me 12-1/2 hours - much better than the 14 I had planned.

Please send me a list of all the people in your office who worked with me on my procedure (and those who didn't too). If its not too much of a problem, tell me what they did (washed my hair, microscope, billing, whatever). As I mentioned, I want to send everybody something from Santa. I know its not required, but too often people never get recognized for the hard work they do. It won't be expensive, but hopefully the gesture is worth more than the gift.

Once again, thank you for all your help. Dr. Epstein couldn't have chosen a better office manager anywhere in the world. You're the greatest. And, please pass along another special thanks to Dr. Epstein. Tell him that my hopes are that maybe one day I'll be as good of a Santa to others as he has been to me. He is genuinely an honorable man in his field and as a person.

Hi Dr. Epstein,

I just wanted to let you know I had my stitches out today. My stylist has removed a lot of stitches from his clients over the years that have had hair transplants. He told me he had never seen a cleaner suture line with no evidence of a scar from the donor area than mine and never seen a more beautiful artistic hairline than mine. He thinks it is going to turn out fantastic.
