Dr. J. Epstein began his education at Swarthmore College before completing his medical training at the University of Vermont College of Medicine. He then pursued a residency in head and neck surgery/otolaryngology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, followed by a prestigious fellowship with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the San Francisco Bay Area. Recognized for his excellence, he was awarded the Jack Anderson Memorial Award for earning the highest score in the nation on his board exams.

Now that he has decades of experience, he often lectures and publishes scientific research to help other doctors hone their skills in subjects like hair transplant revisions, hair loss in women, hairline lowering surgery, and new techniques for hair restoration. Some of his published work includes chapters for textbooks, further sharing his knowledge with tomorrow’s great surgeons.
Prominent popular magazines and media outlets like Vogue, Elle, GQ, CNN, and NBC have featured Dr. J. Epstein and his work, and he is one of the most popular hair restoration specialists in the country. He also conducts, along with his course co-Director Dr. Kuka Epstein, the FoundHair training course, which doctors from around the world attend to learn advanced hair transplant techniques.
