In 2012, after more than 18 years in solo practice, Dr. J. Epstein decided to take his first associate, and the doctor he chose was Anthony Bared, MD, FACS. Like Dr. J. Epstein, Dr. Bared is a fellowship-trained facial plastic surgeon, who combines his unique aesthetic skills with state-of-the-art techniques to assure the most natural appearing hair restorations.
Dr. Anthony Bared, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Excellence in Hair Restoration
A native of Miami and fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Bared collaborates with Foundation assistants, each with over a decade of experience, to consistently deliver exceptional results that meet the high standards patients expect from Foundation.
Dr. Bared graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where he ranked among the top of his class and was inducted into the esteemed Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Following medical school, he completed a five-year residency in otolaryngology/head and neck surgery at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, serving as chief resident during his final year. Further distinguishing his expertise, he was awarded a prestigious fellowship by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago, an honor given to fewer than 40 surgeons nationwide.
Areas of Expertise
Dr. Bared has been selected to make presentations on hair procedures and techniques at several plastic surgery meetings, is a co-author with Dr. J. Epstein on hair restoration articles, and is conducting several scientific studies, one on the benefits of laser light therapy for hair loss. He performs both FUG/strip and FUE procedures, treating men and women, and has developed outstanding techniques for beard and eyebrow restoration. In conjunction, Dr. Bared specializes in many facial procedures at his own practice – where he performs facelift, and neck lift surgeries with great results.
